I didn't quite know what to make of this when Sam played it for me. I suppose Aphex Twin and some of tht crazy jungle stuff was distracting me at the time. We used to refer to the 'mike licking' production since the sounds can be quite sharp. It was actually produced by Walter/Wendy Carlos (not sure what sex he/she was in 73). If you can get it, its about as good as bossa nova gets (Bonfa is a close 2nd).
August The internet thing
I'm really pushing for the Art institute to get themselves into this internet thing. Somehow the idea that students can just surf around to see and compare the different schools seems a natural. Of course, not everyone has access to the internet, and it's aufully slow for pictures, but the convenience alone should really get us moving toward creating a decent online experience. It should also help in getting feedback on where to hold portfolio day, etc. I think there's something to this, 'Mosaic' certainly beats 'Archie' and as long as you can get on Yahoo, someone could find your site.
